Volunteer Fire Department
The Sandusky Township Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1964. We currently have 39 volunteers with 18 being trained in EMS. The department has up-to-date fire and rescue equipment and is continually improving. All volunteers must complete continuing education and participate in monthly training. Mr. Dean Schneider is the Department Chief with Mr. Tom Willis serving as Assistant Chief.
The Sandusky Township Volunteer Fire Department is offering House Number signs. These signs can be purchased from the Department for $15.00 a piece. These signs can be seen during the day and night. Every second counts during a fire or other emergency. That's why it is important for Township residents to clearly identify their property.
